When I grow up I want to be a fireman.
The sirens roared as I drove as a lunatic across the streets of New York. I could see smoke far ahead and I knew I had to rush. I quickly padded my Dalmatian in the head to let him know we were close. As "Lucky" jumped up from the seat my fellow fireman got in position. The huge ball of fire was consuming the building as fast as an ice cream melts in the blazing sun. As I approached the buildings and the screeching of the wheels drifting overtook the noise of the siren my partner started throwing water at the huge ball of fire. As more smoke came out of the building due to the reaction of the flame I started coughing and with each cough my breathing started decreasing until I....

Woke up.
It had all been a dream. A childhood dreamed that never came true.
Ever since I have a sense of memory until I started 7th grade I have wanted to be a fireman but since then that dream has been quashed?
Why does that happen?
It happens because we as individuals are afraid of what society thinks of us and instead of following our dreams we adapt to society so we can fit in, but it shouldn't be like that. After all this is the same society that "says that abortion is wrong but looks down at teenage mom" our society is far from perfect and instead of letting them shape us we should shape ourselves.
If I want to become a fireman so be it; I should t be discouraged by others just because I won't make enough money to be like Richard Branson.
Unluckily for me that childhood dream is long behind me and I am now destined to go into the business world because for years since my dream disappeared that has become my new passion but this same thing shouldn't happen to young ones and a change has to be made.

Instead of putting others down because they break the habits and take a different approach than the rest of the world we should encourage them. We shouldn't look at them as weird creatures, but instead look up to them for being courageous and following their dreams.
