When I started my internship I knew it was impossible to complete my 30-day habit of running 30 minutes everyday, so I decided to take a different approach to the challenge. The first 15 days of the challenge would be dedicated to breaking the habit and doing something completely new, which in this case was the internship and then the second 15 days I would dedicate it to starting my challenge of running 30 minutes everyday. The day I touched down in lima the same old excuses came back to life and I didn’t go out and run, so I decided to change my challenge a bit so I would accomplish it with no problem. Instead of running 30 minutes I took the approach of doing at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. For the last week I have been playing squash and football daily varying from 40 minutes to an hour, even breaking the barrier I had set up for me. I am proud of they way I am accomplishing my challenge because even if I am tired I already have a commitment with other people so I cant just leave them waiting for me so like it or not I have to get out of bed and go play. Monday the 14th is when I leave for vacation so I will have to stay strong and continue my daily exercise challenge, I know it will be tough but that is why it is called a challenge. I am looking to break out of my routine and become a better and more disciplined person and this is the only way to achieve it. A challenge is supposed to be hard work, but the satisfaction you get from achieving it is worth all the suffering and effort.
