Here I am sitting on the couch while Cotter speaks about ideas for blog posts this week. Being honest, I am bored to death.
Getting ideas for what to write has never been a problem for me and I find this useless. I am completely uninterested and want to do something else, but I can't. I have never been someone who complains when we have to do something that benefits the whole class, so I decide to change my approach.
As Cotter speaks I take out my phone and start writing this blog post... With his permission obviously, well kind of. He said, "write the idea" however; 3 minutes later I am already half way through my blog. As voices fly around me, and discussions occur between my classmates I laugh and keep writing. They have no idea they are inspiring me.
A blog post that started as a joke and as a way of getting distracted, during something that seemed boring for me has taught me the same lesson that the class lesson was intended too teach. The whole point of getting together as a class was to discuss topics and learn how to write something about our week experiences. Nevertheless, by writing this I have done just that in half the time.
Now as I write my last paragraph I have just realized how I wrote a blog post that reflects my knowledge and approach towards learning, while learning how to create writing out of nothing. It makes me proud, this is the first time I have written a blog of this type, but actually it has changed me. I have learnt that reflecting upon things you do and why you do them is valuable and serves as a way of broadening our minds to improve our education.
