I felt a sense of frustration running through my body and all I wanted to do was break something. Thankfully, I could contain my anger and think.
The project with YAQUA had been running smoothly and we were attaining results that were more than we expected when we begun the project. Nevertheless, in a blink of an eye it was all gone.
As fast as a magician disappears a dove our project crashed down.
All of a sudden companies stopped responding but most importantly Fernando stopped collaborating as he had done at the beginning.
This is where I learned one of the most valuable lessons I have learned about the business world. Out there in text books and conversations we only hear about how to run a business or what business is all about however, never had I seen the negative side of it as I experienced with YAQUA.
Not only was Fernando not being helpful but he didn’t answer on time and was always late. He started showing signs that he didn’t care for us.
All this thoughts started spinning through my mind and since that moment I have realized the key principles that any business, no matter how small should follow.
Before he was always there for us but now it was as if he saw us as a burden he had to carry around. As soon as I realized this I knew that it was time to step aside.
As a group we didn’t understand what we had done wrong but we knew that YAQUA was a chapter that was already behind and that we needed to focus on the future.
After leaving YAQUA behind, we moved to work with the Pepsi group and helping them with the #YAPES challenge.
With the Pepsi group I will still be working on the pitch and selling the idea. Hoepfuly we can finalize this project the same way we started YAQUA.
I feel as if I have just quit my job and have been hired for a new company. Can't wait to start my new “job”.
